Letterboxing the New Brochure: The new brochure was truly a creative effort of three of our members here and we have been pleased with the result. One wrote it, one drew it and one designed it. Several members of the congregation have been gradually letterboxing areas of Coffs Harbour. For any of those who visit, you will notice the hills in Coffs! We are all getting fitter! The plan is that the whole of Coffs Harbour will be informed about the church. Already we have nearly used up 5,000 brochures and more will need to be printed.

Our Christian brother one month on: It has been one month since Bo Riccobono’s baptism. He is doing very well. Due to his disease, he will never be a major player in the building of this congregation, if you count major efforts like letter boxing or teaching of bible classes. But Bo has a glow in his eyes that the Alzheimer’s in his body cannot put out! He encourages us all by his smile and his loving of coming to church and being with us. He wants to greet everyone there and then he wants to sit down. After bible class, when you ask him a question, he can still tell you what he thinks and his ‘thinking’ is remarkably strong for God. Never tell me again that someone who is like afflicted is beyond the ability to comprehend and to love God.

Picnics on Sunday & Soup on Tuesday: We are continuing to have meals together every time we meet for services. On Sunday, we have a picnic out at the park and or we have a casserole at one of the member’s homes. We invite all of the visitors at services to come and join us, and they usually stay and enjoy these times with us. Some have told us that this is too much trouble, but we are finding that it is very encouraging and very easy. Besides it helps build just one more point of friendship with those around us.

Ladies Prayer Group: There are now four ladies who meet weekly to pray for concerns both big and little. The work in Coffs is a constant prayer. The ladies all write down their prayers points and it is marvellous how God answers them in his own time and wisdom. It has been a strengthening encouragement to us all.
