It is hard to believe that the Chinese ministry has been in place for a year and a half already. Time really flies when you are having fun and worshipping the Lord! I'd like to give a quick update on how things have been travelling in the last six months. We have had a lot of family visit for various lengths of time and this has been a real blessing for all of us participating in the Chinese Worship service. We have had three baptisms as a result of the teaching done by James and Stephen Chan as well as others. The first baptism was Sarah's mom followed by Sophie's mom and aunt. We have been blessed with 3-4 regular visitors and our attendance has been averaging in the upper teens. We were blessed to have Stephen Chan here in Melbourne in December of last year. He lead an intensive study that really opened the hearts and minds of some of our regulars. We all learnt a lot and had great fellowship in the homes of differ- ent members. Every third Sunday is our devotional day where we get together in our homes for food, study and fellowship. We all look forward to these times together where we can talk and discuss the bible in a more relaxed setting. The questions and dis- cussion have increasingly become more in-depth and challenging which is encour- aging. We need prayers to further open the hearts of those who are seeking Christ! Over the Christmas Holiday we all went to Lakes Entrance for a fishing expedi- tion. This was a great time fishing and eating our catch. We have learnt a lot about each other during this two day trip. We have been blessed with the support from all of you and we want you to know how much it means when someone gives us words of encouragement or takes time to meet our visitors. May the Lord continue to bless us in this work! It is hard to believe that the Chinese ministry has been in place for a year and a half already.
