At one time or another most of us have felt that we haven’t achieved what we set out to do. Maybe it was due to lack of time, insufficient resources, lack of follow-through etc; or maybe it was a poor plan to begin with. Whatever the reason, it’s not a pleasant feeling and often something we don’t want to share with others.

We left Melbourne airport on Sunday morning and arrived in Los Angeles International airport that same Sunday morning. We were tired, hungry and anxious to get to our hotel. When dad told us we would be attending church after fifteen hours of flying, we became quite disgruntled.

I still remember the day in 1989 when “cold fusion” became a reality. I was working with the Blacktown congregation and was on my way to the local shops when the announcement was made. Two American scientists, Martin Fleischmann and Stanley Pons, had successfully produced “cold fusion” in a laboratory experiment.
